Ep 8. The Beast

Will Cooper is a single dad who is still navigating the ups and downs of parenting after his wife passed away. In this episode, Will is forced to confront his insecurities when his son, Graham, invites his older and more physically developed friend, Jasper, over for a playdate. Jasper is a big kid and Will is intimidated by his size and strength.

As the two boys play together, Will becomes increasingly paranoid that Jasper is a bully and is going to hurt his son. He tries to interfere and control their playtime, but ultimately ends up embarrassing himself and causing an argument with Jasper's mom, Tracy.

Meanwhile, the other single parents, Angie, Poppy, and Miggy, try to help Will with his insecurities by sharing their own struggles with parenting. They remind him that it's important to let his son make his own mistakes and learn from them.

As the episode progresses, Will begins to realize that his fears were unfounded and that Jasper is actually a kind and caring friend to Graham. He apologizes to Tracy and the two make amends.
