Ep 3. Jellyfishing/Plankton

SpongeBob SquarePants follows the adventures of a friendly and energetic sea sponge named SpongeBob, who lives in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom with his friends, including his best friend, a dimwitted starfish named Patrick, and his neighbor, a grumpy squid named Squidward.

In season 1 episode 3, titled "Jellyfishing/Plankton," SpongeBob and Patrick’s favorite hobby is jellyfishing. They’re determined to catch the elusive and rare Blue Jellyfish, which they've never managed to catch before. Meanwhile, Plankton, the evil owner of the Chum Bucket restaurant, is up to his usual tricks. He devises a plan to steal the Krusty Krab's secret formula for the Krabby Patty, which is the signature dish of SpongeBob's workplace and the secret of its success. Plankton wants to use the formula to create his own version of the burger and destroy the Krusty Krab. However, his plan fails, and he ends up being destroyed by one of his own inventions.

Back to the jellyfishing, SpongeBob and Patrick continue their quest to find more Blue Jellyfish. They finally spot a group of them and chase after them, but they’re so focused on the hunt that they forget about Squidward, who gets stung by a jellyfish. They rush him to the Krusty Krab for help, but the restaurant is closed due to the theft attempt by Plankton, who seems to have disappeared. They finally find Dr. Manowar, a doctor famous for treating jellyfish stings, and he cures Squidward.

In the end, SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward realize that jellyfishing is not as important as enjoying their time with each other. They cheerfully head back to their houses, ready for their next adventure.
