Ep 5. A Life In A Day/Sun Bleached

In the second half of the episode, SpongeBob and Patrick try to get a tan. They realize they are not getting as tanned as they wanted, so they decide to stay in the tanning bed longer. As they continue to stay under the tanning bed, they begin to turn red and eventually become sunburnt. They realize that they are not going to achieve the perfect tan they wanted and SpongeBob begins to freak out. However, Patrick seems to be enjoying their new look and as the episode progresses the two friends start to compete over who is more sunburnt. The episode ends with SpongeBob and Patrick realizing that they don't need the perfect tan to have a good time, and they end up enjoying their silly new appearance.
