Step Up: High Water is a TV series that revolves around the lives of a group of young dancers who are trying to pursue their dream. Episode 1, titled "Censored," is the start of their journey.

The episode begins with a street dance battle in Atlanta. We are introduced to twins, Janelle and Tal, who are participating in the dance battle. They lose the battle, but they aren't discouraged. The two are both passionate about dance, and they hope to make it big one day.

We are then introduced to Sage Odom (Ne-Yo), a famous musician who is also the founder of the prestigious High Water Performing Arts School. The school is known for its rigorous auditions and harsh training, but Sage believes that this is the only way to find the best dancers in the world.

Janelle and Tal are determined to get into High Water. They believe that it is their chance to make it big and pursue their dreams. The two prepare for their auditions, with Tal working on his hip-hop moves and Janelle focusing on her contemporary dance.

When they arrive at the High Water auditions, they are shocked by the number of talented dancers who are there. They also notice that the school is different from what they expected. While they thought that it was going to be a traditional dance school, the school is actually a community center where students from different backgrounds come together to pursue their dreams.

As the auditions begin, we see the different dancers showcasing their skills. There's the shy and awkward Poppy who surprises everyone with her talent, the confident and skilled Collette who has trained in ballet her entire life, and the rebellious and talented Odalie who doesn't let anyone bring her down.

While Janelle and Tal have their own struggles at the auditions, they both make it into the school. However, their problems are far from over. They soon realize that the school is much more difficult than they expected, and they struggle to keep up with the rigorous training.

At the same time, we see Sage Odom dealing with his own problems. He is struggling to keep the school afloat financially, and he is also dealing with his own personal issues. He is a father to two children, Kida and Dondre, but he has a strained relationship with both of them. Kida is a talented dancer who wants to pursue her own dreams, but Sage is hesitant to let her go. Dondre, on the other hand, is struggling with drug addiction, and Sage is trying his best to help him overcome it.

As the episode progresses, we see the different dancers facing their own challenges. Janelle and Tal have to deal with their sibling rivalry, Collette is struggling to fit in with the other dancers, and Odalie is trying to find her place in the school.

At the end of the episode, we see the dancers coming together to perform in a showcase. While they have all faced their own challenges, they are able to put aside their differences and work together to put on an amazing performance.

"Step Up: High Water, Episode 1 - Censored" sets the stage for the rest of the series. It introduces us to the different characters and their struggles, while also showcasing some amazing dance performances. The episode is a must-watch for anyone who loves dance and is interested in the behind-the-scenes world of performing arts schools.
