Ep 1. Surprise!

Sugar Rush is an American baking competition show that premiered on Netflix in July 2018. The show is hosted by Adriano Zumbo and Hunter March, and features four teams of professional bakers competing against each other to create the most delicious and visually stunning desserts within a specific time frame.

The third team to compete is made up of two siblings, who come from a family of bakers and have been baking together since they were kids. They decide to make a classic French dessert, a strawberry tart with a vanilla custard filling and a delicate buttery crust. While the judges appreciate their execution of the classic dessert, they find the flavors a bit too safe and score them lower in creativity.

Finally, a team of two colleagues takes on the challenge of creating a dessert that showcases their love of experimenting with new and unexpected flavor combinations. They choose to make a chocolate and avocado tart, with a creamy avocado filling and a rich chocolate ganache on top. While the judges are initially skeptical of the combination of chocolate and avocado, they are pleasantly surprised by how well the flavors work together, scoring the team high in both creativity and taste.

After the first round, the team with the highest scores moves on to the second round, where they have to create an entirely new dessert using a surprise ingredient revealed by the judges. The remaining three teams battle it out in a quickfire round, where they have to create a dessert in just one hour using a different surprise ingredient.
