The Bridge also known as Bron or Broen, is a Swedish and Danish television series that falls into the genre's of crime, drama, and thriller. This particular television series is mainly aired on both the DR1 and the SVT1 channels, and it has an approximate running time of about 60 minutes long, including the commercials. The bridge was created by Hans Rosenfeldt, and it was written by Bjorn Stein. This television show was composed by Johan Soderqvist, Patrik Andren, and Uno Helmersson, and it wad produced by Stefan Baron, Klaus Bassiner, Tomas Eskilsson, Wolfgang Feindt, and Tone Ronning. Furthermore, The Bridge star's many well known actor's and actresses such as Sofia Helin, Kim Bodnia, Dag Malmberg, Ellen Hillingso, and Puk Scharbau.

This thrilling television series is mainly focused on a police investigation of a dead body found on the Oresund bridge. This particular bridge is what connects Denmark to Sweden. The body of the victim was cut in half by the waist and then it was cleverly placed directly onto the borderline. The killer did this so that the crime would fall into both Denmark and Sweden's jurisdiction. Forcing them both to have to work together in order to solve the case. Ultimately, the two jurisdictions end up working together having Saga Noren running the Swedish side of the investigation, and having Martin Rhode serving the Danish side of the investigation.

Furthermore, things become even more twisted when they discover that the two halves of the victim is actually two different people. One half of the body belonged to a street woman who happened to be a prostitute, and the other half of the body belonged to a well known and respected female politician. To complicate things even more, a local journalist who's car was used in the crime, begins getting phone calls from a mystery person claiming to be the one who committed the horrible crime. The killer begins to tell the journalist why he committed the horrible crime and what exactly it is he is trying to draw attention to.

The Bridge is a series that is currently running and has 4 seasons (47 episodes). The series first aired on July 10, 2013.

The Bridge Full Episode Guide

  • The homeless girls, who have met with psychologist Niels Thormod, now know who the killer is. They try to get in contact with Henrik, while the killer is looking for them. The girls have to run for their lives... Meanwhile, Saga is on the killer's trail.

  • The investigation on Tommy continues. Tommy's mother refuses to cooperate. Niels Thormod comes up in the investigation again. Niels has hired a private detective and hoped that he could find out something more than the police.

  • Henrik thinks he has found the connection between all of the victims - everything relates to Tommy. All known people around Tommy are questioned. Henrik discovers a completely unexpected, but well-known face on the investigation board.

  • Taariq has recognized the car that kidnapped Margrethe Thormod, and seeks out the owner. The car owner, Morgan Sonning, says that he was robbed by Taariq, and explains his alibi for the murder.

  • Richard, the Swedish journalist and expert on radical leftist groups is missing, but he suddenly turns up again and broadcasts live on the internet. Meanwhile, questioning continues with Taariq, who refuses to cooperate.

  • Henrik and his new colleague, Jonas, continue to investigate Margrethe Thormod's murder. The two main leads are the radical leftist group, Red October, and the missing refugee, Taariq, who has gone underground after having his asylum application rejected.

  • Almost two years later - A woman is brutally murdered on Pepparholm island at the base of the bridge. The murdered woman is Margrethe Thormod, General Director of the Migration Agency in Copenhagen. Henrik Sabroe starts to investigate the macabre murder.

  • The hunt for the perpetrator and Freddie€™s newborn baby continues. Freddie gets an SMS from the kidnapper with a picture of the baby and a meeting place. He manages to slip away from police surveillance and meet the perpetrator and the baby as agreed.

  • Saga has been forced to take a leave of absence from the investigation and her old colleague Rasmus Larsson takes her place. Freddie Holst is desperately searching for Jeanette, who is carrying his unborn child. When he finds her, she is tied up.

  • The hunt for the killer intensifies, and Saga and Henrik are certain of his identity. But when they are about to bring him in, he has disappeared. They are surprised by the next victim, who is clearly linked to the case.

  • An older couple is found murdered in a spectacular fashion in their house outside Ystad. They have a connection to a piece of art and they both have branding marks in their mouths, just like the previous victims.

  • Saga and Henrik see a connection between the victims and some artwork hanging in a museum. All of the artwork is owned by Freddie Holst. Is there a connection between Freddie the victims, or is someone trying to frame him?

  • Lillian discovers a wound in Hans€™ mouth, which turns out to be a branding mark. The other two victims are examined again and they also have the same kind of branding mark. The perpetrator is probably branding his victims to punish them for something.

  • Hans is still in a coma. Saga makes a mistake in a dramatic hostage situation, but they manage to arrest a suspect who is taken in for questioning.

  • The police receive a video demanding a ransom in exchange for Hans€™ release. They manage to locate him, but when they are about to free him, they find that his kidnapper has been shot and Hans has been abducted again.

  • Saga gets a new Danish colleague, Henrik Sabroe, and together they continue to investigate Helle Anker€™s murder.

  • 13 months later€¦Saga Nor©n is working with the Malm¶ Police, but she misses her only friend, Martin Rohde, who is now serving a ten year prison sentence.
