The Chosen is the first-ever-multi-season TV show about the life of Jesus. Created outside of the Hollywood system, The Chosen allows us to see Him through the eyes of those who knew him. The first episode begins in AD 26 in Capernaum, where we meet Sanhedrin member and Pharisee Nicodemus touring the region, tax collector Matthew, fishermen brothers Simon and Andrew, demon-possessed Mary Magdalene and wandering craftsman Jesus. The final two seasons of the planned seven season show are intended to chronicle his death and resurrection.

8. Beyond Mountains

After stirring the water, Jesus is now pursued by Simon the Zealot, Atticus, and Shmuel. John the Baptizer visits the group and tells Jesus his dangerous mission. Meanwhile, back at the camp, Mary Magdalene is devastated by an encounter with a mysterious and dangerous stranger.
