Ep 3. All Guts, No Glory

As the season continues, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air brings us into episode three, "All Guts, No Glory". The episode begins with the Banks family in the kitchen preparing for a charity fundraiser that they usually hold, except this year, they are going to raise the bar by holding a celebrity auction.

Hilary, who was chosen to coordinate the event, is overworked and stressed out because the celebrity she thought she had secured for the night has cancelled at the last minute. The Banks family attempts to help Hilary find a replacement, but to no avail.

On the other hand, Will and Carlton have a problem of their own. Will is trying to impress a girl named Renee, who is a talented athlete on the college volleyball team, and must convince Carlton to play against them in a volleyball match. However, Carlton is self-conscious about his inadequate athletic ability, and doesn't want to embarrass himself in front of everyone.

Meanwhile, Aunt Viv is busy juggling her singing career and familial duties. Though she's exhausted from the rehearsals and a terrible cold, she still tries to make it to the event, where she agrees to sing despite her weakened state.

The episode moves on to focus on the actual fundraiser, where everyone is at the event dressed in their finest clothing and wearing an aura of apparent happiness. Geoffrey, the Butler, is dressed in an Arabian costume, while Hilary is running around frantically trying to figure out what to do. Carlton is hiding, pretending to be sick to get out of playing in the volleyball match. Will is confident, but Renee also has a trick up her sleeve.

In the end, Aunt Viv's performance carries the event, and Hilary learns a valuable lesson about facing adversity. Uncle Phil impresses everyone with his auction skills and raises enough money to make the fundraiser a success. Additionally, Carlton is finally convinced to play volleyball after a rousing speech from Phil, who makes him realize the importance of trying, even when you’re not naturally good at something.

Overall, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air season 4 episode 3, "All Guts, No Glory," delivers an episode full of laughter, fun, and heartwarming moments.
