Ep 9. Why Kill a Busboy?

Tony Sr. and Tony Jr. then head to El Diablo's hideout, where they confront him and his men. After a tense standoff, El Diablo reveals that he did not order the hit on the victim, but instead Max had paid someone to kill him in an attempt to cover up his daughter's involvement with the victim.

Tony Sr. and Tony Jr. then head back to the diner, where they confront Max and Claire with their evidence. Max admits to hiring a hitman to kill the victim, but only to protect his daughter from the consequences of her actions. Claire is shocked and outraged by her father's actions and disowns him.

The episode ends with Tony Sr. and Tony Jr. sharing a beer and reflecting on the case. They agree that justice was served, but that it is never easy to investigate crimes involving loved ones.
