After finding out that Lord Grim is Ye Xiu, Chen Guo tries to convince him to join the team back, but he refuses her offer. Meanwhile, Excellent Era is preparing for the playoffs, and they have teamed up with Team Blue Rain to help them win. However, Excellent Era's top player, Xiao Shiqin, is still out with an injury.

In the playoffs' first round, Excellent Era faces off against the seventh-ranked team, Team Frost Forest. During the match, it's clear that Ye Xiu is watching as he uses Lord Grim to spectate. As the game begins, it becomes apparent that their opponents have done their homework and have a good game plan.

The match seems to be in favor of Team Frost Forest early on, but Excellent Era's players adjust quickly. They start to make a comeback, and it's all thanks to Excellent Era's rookie player, Fang Rui.
