Ep 9. Vote for Kennedy, Vote for Kennedy

In season 2 episode 9 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, titled "Vote for Kennedy, Vote for Kennedy," Midge and Susie hit the road for their first out-of-town comedy gig in Paris, Pennsylvania. Before they leave, Abe stresses the importance of voting in the upcoming Presidential election and encourages Midge to campaign for Kennedy.

Upon arriving in Paris, Midge catches the eye of a charming doctor named Benjamin and the two hit it off. Meanwhile, Susie struggles to find a decent place for them to stay and ends up booking a less-than-ideal motel. Back at the motel, Midge receives an unexpected phone call from Joel, who is struggling with his own issues and reaches out to Midge for support. Midge tries to console him, but their conversation is cut short when it's time for her to take the stage.

After the successful show, Midge and Susie head back to New York City feeling invigorated and accomplished. However, Midge's relationship with Benjamin hits a snag when he realizes the full extent of Midge's unconventional career path and doesn't entirely approve.
