Set in the late 1950s and early 1960s, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is an American period comedy-drama television series created by Amy Sherman-Palladino. The show follows Miriam "Midge" Maisel, a housewife in Manhattan who discovers a talent for stand-up comedy after her husband leaves her.

In season 3 episode 6, named Kind of Bleu, Midge is on the road again for her stand-up comedy tour. This time, she is in Chicago, where she is excited to perform for a big crowd at a jazz club called the Blue Angel.

As she gets ready backstage, Midge runs into a fellow comedian named DeeDee, who offers her some words of advice and encouragement before she takes the stage. DeeDee is an older woman who has been in the business for a long time and has seen it all, and her wisdom gives Midge a newfound confidence.

Meanwhile, Susie, Midge's manager, is dealing with some drama of her own. She is approached by a man named Declan Howell, who wants to invest in Midge's career. Susie is initially skeptical, but after some convincing, she agrees to meet with him.

Soon, Susie finds herself swept up in a world of luxury and privilege, as Declan takes her out to fancy restaurants and lavish parties. Susie is both fascinated and intimidated by this new world, and she starts to question whether she wants to be a part of it.

Back at the Blue Angel, Midge takes the stage to raucous applause. She starts to recount a story from her childhood, but before she can finish, she is interrupted by a heckler in the audience. The heckler is a man named Moishe Maisel, who turns out to be Midge's estranged father.

Moishe is loud, obnoxious, and drunk, and he proceeds to insult Midge and her comedy in front of the entire crowd. Midge tries to keep her cool and continue with her set, but the heckling becomes too much to bear.

As she storms off stage, Midge is met by Susie, who has just arrived at the club. Susie tries to comfort Midge and assure her that she did a great job, but Midge is understandably upset.

Later, Midge and Susie head to a nearby diner to get some food and talk things over. They reflect on the ups and downs of their careers so far, and they both wonder where they will go from here.

Overall, Kind of Bleu is a poignant and funny episode that explores the sometimes rocky road of pursuing your dreams. With standout performances from Rachel Brosnahan and Alex Borstein, this is a must-watch episode for fans of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
