Ep 2. Command Performance

Captain Ed Mercer and his crew aboard The Orville are tasked with escorting a renowned planetary union officer, Admiral Halsey (guest star Victor Garber), to planet Epsilon 2 for a diplomatic mission. Upon their arrival, the crew quickly realizes that the admiral is not the only important figure on the planet—they are greeted by an advanced society that has been observing Earth for decades and has chosen Ed to participate in a special performance.

Ed finds himself in the midst of an elaborate and intricate theatrical production, where he is cast as the lead. As he navigates his way through rehearsals, he also becomes increasingly suspicious of the motives behind the production.
