The Score from WALTER PRESENTS is a thrilling Belgium crime drama, which first aired in 2015. This gripping series follows the story of two estranged brothers, Edward and Luc, who are both passionate soccer fans. Despite their love for the same team, the two couldn't be more different. Edward, the older, is a straight-laced banker, happily married with kids. Luc, the younger, is a struggling, restless musician, who has been kicked out of his band and is in financial trouble. Though they're distant, their shared love of soccer brings them back into each other's orbits.

The Score has received significant praise for its successful blend of great storytelling and beautiful cinematography. The captivating plot involves a corrupt oil company executive, who has embezzled millions of dollars from his own company, and a group of soccer fans who decide to take vengeance on the corrupt CEO.

The show's beginning takes place on a crowded day when the stadium is packed with passionate fans. At the height of the game, a group of hooded men rushes onto the field, interrupting the game and threatening the life of the cheating CEO. When they manage to kidnap him, the club's most notorious and violent fans put their plan into action.

Edward finds himself in the middle of the action when he receives a phone call from his brother Luc asking for a favor. Edward is now forced to face his past and help his younger brother with whatever he needs. It's a tough situation for Edward who left his past behind and instead opted for walls and materialism. However, the brothers will be on a mission to rescue the hostage and save their beloved club with the help of the CEO's assistant, his loyal right-hand man.

As the two brothers work together, secrets from the past are revealed, and they discover whether or not they can put their differences aside for the sake of saving the club they both love.

The highly charged series features some excellent acting and superb directing. Oscar Willems and Joren Seldeslachts shine in their roles as the estranged brothers, each one grounded in reality and delivering an incredibly believable performance. Their on-screen chemistry is fantastic, creating a world where the audience feels like they are right in the middle of the action.

Not only is The Score a crime drama, but it's also a story of redemption, sacrifice, and love for family and sport. The football element is an essential aspect of the show, not because of the sport itself, but because it gives these two brothers a shared history, something to bond over, and an ultimate goal to achieve.

Overall, The Score is a well-acted, high-stakes show with a ton of heart. There are moments of tension, emotional beats, all wrapped in compelling storytelling. It is a show that truly deserves attention and appreciation from not only soccer fans but also crime aficionados. The Score will keep you on the edge of your seat, waiting to see what happens next, and not wanting to miss a single episode.
