Ep 2. Accentuate the Positive

Amy and Ricky start preparing for their marriage by looking for a new apartment. They go to see a few places but can't seem to agree on one. Meanwhile, Grace and Jack are still struggling to get past the loss of their baby. Grace becomes more active in church and tries to find comfort there, but Jack doesn't feel the same way. He starts hanging out with a new group of friends who are a bad influence on him. Ricky's mom is still trying to gain custody of John and pays a surprise visit to Adrian's house to secretly search for evidence that will support her case. Adrian is not happy about it and confronts Ricky's mother, resulting in a heated argument. Elsewhere, Ben and Adrian are still pretending to be together and planning to raise John together. Ben tells Adrian that he loves her, but she doesn't say it back.

As Amy and Ricky continue searching for a new apartment, they come across one that they both like, but it's out of their price range. They decide to ask their parents for help, but they run into some resistance. Amy's parents are hesitant to lend them any money, while Ricky's mom thinks it's a bad idea for them to move in together before they're married. Meanwhile, Grace's mother invites her to come to New York with her for a fashion show. Grace is excited at first, but then realizes she doesn't want to leave Jack alone. She asks him to come with them, but he declines. This leads to an argument between the two, and Grace starts to question their relationship.

At school, Ben's friends start to question his relationship with Adrian. They ask him why he's with her if he doesn't love her. Ben starts to think about this and realizes that he's been using Adrian as a substitute for Amy. He confronts Adrian about it, and she's hurt by his confession. Meanwhile, Ricky and Amy are still trying to convince their parents to help them get the apartment. They come up with a plan to raise the money themselves by selling some of the things they don't need. However, things don't go as planned, and they end up getting into a fight. This puts a strain on their relationship, and they start to question whether they're ready to get married.

At the end of the episode, Adrian decides to end things with Ben and tells him that she wants to be on her own for a while. Grace also decides to break up with Jack, realizing that they're not in the same place emotionally. Amy and Ricky finally get the money they need for the apartment and decide to take the plunge. They get the keys and move in together, ready to start their new life as a family.
