Ep 1. BK, NY

In the second season premiere of The Strain titled "BK, NY," the vampire apocalypse in New York City is fully underway. The episode opens with a montage of news clips and footage of the chaos that has unfolded since the infected vampires began attacking and feeding on human beings.

Meanwhile, Abraham Setrakian (David Bradley) and Vasiliy Fet (Kevin Durand) are on a mission to find the Occido Lumen, an ancient book that contains information on how to defeat The Master. Their search takes them to a wealthy businessman named Palmer (Jonathan Hyde), who has a connection to the vampire leader.

As the episode progresses, tensions rise between the group in the warehouse as Zach begins to act out and Ephraim struggles to balance his role as a scientist with his duties as a father. Dutch's attempts to disrupt The Master's communication network are successful, but this comes at a cost when she discovers a shocking truth about her past.

Abraham and Fet's mission takes a dangerous turn when they are ambushed by a group of the Master's vampires. The two men are forced to fight for their lives and narrowly escape with their lives.

Throughout the episode, we see glimpses of the Master's plan to turn the entire city into a vampire army. He is shown commanding his followers to attack key locations and is building his forces for an all-out war against the humans.

As the episode comes to a close, the group in the warehouse is shocked by a surprise visitor, who delivers a message that changes everything they thought they knew about the Master's plans.
