Ep 1. New York Strong

In the season 3 premiere of The Strain, entitled "New York Strong," the vampires have taken over New York City and the human survivors are banding together to fight back. The episode kicks off with a group of survivors fighting off a vampire attack in a subway car. One of the survivors, a man named Quinlan, reveals himself to be part vampire and offers to help the humans in their fight against the Master.

Meanwhile, Ephraim Goodweather, the CDC doctor who has been fighting the vampire outbreak since the beginning, has escaped New York City with his son Zach. They are now living in a small town in the middle of nowhere, but Ephraim is haunted by guilt over leaving his friends behind. He plans to go back to the city to help them, but Zach wants nothing to do with it.

Back in New York, Setrakian and his team are working to build a new weapon to defeat the Master. But they are running out of time, as the Master is preparing to launch a massive attack on the city that could wipe out all remaining humans. The team embarks on a dangerous mission to find the materials they need for the weapon.

As the episode progresses, we see the different groups of survivors coming together and working towards a common goal. But there are also conflicts and betrayals amongst the humans, and the vampires are always lurking in the shadows, ready to strike.
