Jay Leno guest hosts as Johnny Carson takes a break in this episode of The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Joining Leno are two comedic guests, Super Dave Osborne and Tim Reid.

Super Dave Osborne, played by Bob Einstein, is a daredevil character who is known for his outlandish and dangerous stunts. He often attempts absurd stunts that inevitably fail, resulting in his hilarious reactions and interactions with his sidekick Fuji Hakayito, played by Art Irizawa.

Tim Reid is a well-known comedian and actor who is best known for his role as Venus Flytrap on the TV series WKRP in Cincinnati. He has also appeared in numerous films and TV shows throughout the years.

As the show begins, Leno takes the stage and introduces his guests, beginning with Tim Reid. The two discuss Reid's career, from his beginnings in stand-up comedy to his breakout role on WKRP in Cincinnati. Reid also talks about his experience working with legendary comedian and actor Redd Foxx on the TV series The Royal Family.

Next up is Super Dave Osborne, who enters the stage in full costume, complete with helmet and cape. Leno and Osborne engage in a hilarious conversation, with Osborne discussing some of his recent stunts gone wrong, including a broken leg and a near-death experience. Despite his failures, Osborne remains committed to his craft, even if it means putting his own life on the line.

Later in the show, Reid returns to the stage to share some of his own personal stories and jokes. He discusses his experiences growing up in Virginia and shares some of the challenges he faced as a young African-American trying to break into the entertainment industry. He also shares some of his favorite jokes and impressions, including an impression of Bill Cosby.

The show ends with Leno and his guests saying their goodbyes and thanking the audience. As always, the show is filled with plenty of laughs and memorable moments, thanks to the talented and entertaining guests who join Leno on stage.
