In another part of the episode, Klaus, played by Robert Sheehan, is struggling with his addiction to drugs and alcohol. Klaus has the ability to communicate with the dead, but the constant chatter in his head is too overwhelming for him to handle, so he uses drugs to numb the voices. His siblings intervene and take him to a rehabilitation center where he is forced to confront his addiction and the ghosts that haunt him.

Meanwhile, Allison, played by Emmy Raver-Lampman, is faced with a dilemma when she discovers that her daughter, Claire, has been given a place in a prestigious school that she cannot afford to pay for. Allison considers using her powers of persuasion to force the school to give her daughter a scholarship, but decides against it as she is afraid of the consequences of using her powers.
