In the fourth episode of This Country's first season titled "King Of The Nerds," we find ourselves in the quaint village of Cotswolds yet again. This time, Kerry and Kurtan are frantically preparing for the annual scarecrow competition. Kerry is particularly keen on impressing the judges and winning the competition this year, which means that she has to put all her creative juices to good use and design the best scarecrow the village has ever seen.

Despite Kerry's ambitious plans, things don't go as planned when Kurtan forgets to purchase the necessary supplies for the scarecrow construction. This leaves Kerry with an impossible task of building the scarecrow from scratch and within a limited timeframe. Furthermore, she starts to panic when she realizes that the competition will feature some stiff competition, including the local teacher who always puts on a showstopper. This causes Kerry to stress out even more and become somewhat difficult to work with, much to the chagrin of Kurtan.

As the day of the competition approaches, Kerry becomes increasingly anxious, and tensions flare between her and Kurtan. But the competition finally begins, and the village comes alive with excitement - colorful scarecrows in all shapes and sizes line the streets, making it impossible to choose a definitive winner. Will Kerry's scarecrow design be enough to win over the judges? The episode promises to deliver some hilarious moments as we watch Kerry and Kurtan navigate their way through the complex world of scarecrow creation and try to win over the village's judges.

As with previous episodes, "King Of The Nerds" delivers a brilliantly written and acted vignette of awkward humor, self-delusion, and small-town idiosyncrasies. The sibling duo of Kerry and Kurtan navigates the intricate social hierarchies and expectations of the village's community members with their individualistic charm and wit. The episode offers a glimpse into the life of young adults living in rural Britain and how they tackle the challenges and difficulties that come with navigating small-town life.

Overall, "King Of The Nerds" is an excellent representation of the show's witty writing and satire. As the fourth episode of the season, it showcases the series' ability to weaving together its unique brand of humor and absurdity, making it an absolute must-watch.
