The Mighty Boosh is a British television show from the minds of creators Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding. It also features a cast of regular contributors including actors Rich Fulcher, Dave Brown and Noel's brother Michael Fielding. The five came together while doing standup routines and auditioning for other projects. The show has three seasons each with its own unique location. The show revolves around the strange and sometimes mystical adventures of Howard Moon and Vince Noir. In series one, they are zoo keepers in a British zoo, where Vince has discovered the rare talent to talk with the animals. In series two, they have retired from the zoo to pursue careers as musicians and by series three they have given up the rock lifestyle (mostly) in order to work in a curio shop in London. Throughout the entire series they find themselves in awkward and near impossible situations that they must find their way out of. Fortunately, their friend Naboo the Shaman and his familiar, Bollo, are there to help them muddle through. Together they will face rampaging Yetis, a possession by the Spirit of Jazz and a staged boxing match with a Killer Kangaroo. The show features additional cameo appearances by a number of notable names including Roger Daltry, Richard Ayoade and Matt Berry. The group has a strong foundation in music and every episode features as least one original song. The duo remarked in interviews following the shows completion that the music was the driving theme and they frequently could write a song for the episode in a matter of hours where as an episode could take them days or even weeks to complete. The show was halted after only three seasons at the request of the creators who have since gone on to other projects. The show was so popular that it spawn multiple live performances which were also shown on television. Its popularity in England soon spread over seas where it was picked up by Cartoon Network as part of its Adult Swim block.
