Ep 5. Steam Fair

Set in the English countryside, This Country follows cousins Kerry and Lee "Kurtan" Mucklowe as they navigate their mundane lives in the fictional village of Northleach. In season 2, episode 5, titled "Steam Fair," the duo ventures out to the annual steam fair, an event that's not to be missed in their small community.

As Kerry and Kurtan make their way to the fair, they cross paths with various villagers along the way. Kerry and Kurtan's act, which involves a magic trick and some questionable dance moves, is met with mixed reviews. Reverend Seaton is not impressed and gives the duo a low score, but the audience seems to love it.

After the talent show, Kerry and Kurtan run into Len again, who's now selling merchandise at the fair. Kerry is skeptical of Len's newfound business venture, but Kurtan offers to buy a t-shirt to support him.

As the day winds down, Kerry and Kurtan reflect on their experience at the steam fair. Kerry is disappointed with their low score in the talent show and questions whether they'll ever be successful. Kurtan, ever the optimist, reassures her that they'll keep trying and eventually make it.
