Selina Meyer is back in action in the third episode of season six of Veep, titled Georgia. The episode delves deep into Georgia's House race while exploring the difficult political scene around the state's eighth congressional district.

When Selina had announced that she wanted to run for President again, not everyone was thrilled about it. One of the people who were actively against her was Jonah Ryan, the former White House staffer, who was now running for the House seat in Georgia.

A potential win for Ryan would provide a boost to the plans of his team, who were working hard to grab control of the house. But, Selina would not let Ryan have it easy. She quickly reached out to a prominent former President for help with her campaign.

Meanwhile, Rapper Juicy J is on the same flight as Selina and her team, en route to perform at a tourism-heavy festival in Georgia. The team hopes to use his popularity to help Selina's campaign.

The episode gives a refreshingly cynical perspective on the world of politics. The series is known for its dark humour and subtle jokes, and this episode is no exception. The writers have done a great job in exploring the power dynamics between politicians and the way it shapes the soul of a politician.

The timing of the episode could not have been more appropriate. It tackles issues of misogyny, racism and power in politics in a world where these themes have become more prominent. It shows how politics runs on manipulation, lies and scandals. The episode makes a strong case for the idea of humanity in political circles, that there is a need for authenticity and honesty even as manipulative tactics become more advanced.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus gives a strong performance as Selina Meyer - demonstrating more of her political experience and cunning. We see just how far Selina is willing to go to hold onto power, and the lengths she will go to strike a deal - as well as the potential consequences of those actions.

The show has never shied away from portraying the darker side of politics, and in this episode, it delivers a lesson on how realpolitik can turn nasty, and how power dynamics can sometimes leave no room for humanitarian considerations.

The Georgia episode is an excellent addition to the Veep series. It is a perfect mixture of dark humour and cynical reality - an ideal combination that the show is known for. It also shows just how damaging of a system politics can be, and how individuals within the system can sometimes be swallowed up by its malice.

If you are a fan of sharp political satire, Veep season 6 episode 3, Georgia is a must-watch. The show is intelligently written and well-acted, with an intriguing storyline combined with subtle humour. Veep season 6 is shaping up to be another hit season - and Georgia is an episode that proves just that.
