Veep Season 7, Episode 7 is titled "Veep" and is the penultimate episode of the series. As the title suggests, this episode focuses heavily on Selina Meyer, the former president and titular character of the show.

When the episode begins, Selina is in a bit of a state. She's been spiraling out of control for a while now, but things have really reached a breaking point. She's lost the support of her team, her personal life is a mess, and her political ambitions have been derailed by a dark horse candidate.

Despite all of this, Selina is determined to make a comeback. She's convinced that she's destined for greatness, that she's meant to have power and influence, and she's not going to let anything stand in her way.

We see Selina working tirelessly to mount a comeback, but she's facing all sorts of challenges along the way. For one thing, her past mistakes and misdeeds keep coming back to haunt her. Some of these are relatively minor - like a video clip of her dancing inappropriately - but others are much more serious.

Throughout the episode, we see Selina attempting to manage these various crises with varying degrees of success. She's forced to confront some uncomfortable truths about herself and her past, and it's not always pretty.

At the same time, Selina is also grappling with her own sense of identity. She's always been a power-hungry politician, but as her fortunes have declined, she's been forced to confront the fact that she may not actually be a very good person.

This self-reflection forces Selina to question who she really is, and what she wants out of life. Does she want power for the sake of power, or is there something deeper driving her? What are her actual values, and how can she reconcile those with the cutthroat world of politics?

As Selina grapples with these questions, she's forced to confront some of her oldest and closest associates. Some of these people have been with her since the beginning of her political career, and they're all struggling to figure out what their relationship with her should be going forward.

There are a few subplots throughout the episode involving some of the other characters. Jonah Ryan is, predictably, making an ass of himself on the campaign trail. Amy and Dan are both dealing with their own personal and professional challenges. Richard Splett is his usual delightful self.

But ultimately, this episode is all about Selina. It's a chance for Julia Louis-Dreyfus to shine in her role, and she does not disappoint. She's funny, she's heartbreaking, she's infuriating - often all at the same time. Whether you love or hate Selina as a character, it's hard not to be pulled in by the sheer force of her personality.

The episode ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, leaving us with plenty of questions about what might happen in the finale. Will Selina finally get the redemption she so desperately craves? Or is she destined to be forever trapped in the cycle of ambition and downfall?

There's no denying that Veep has been a tremendous show throughout its seven seasons. It's managed to be both hilarious and insightful, and it's provided a biting commentary on the absurdities of politics. But the real heart of the show has always been Selina Meyer, and this episode makes that abundantly clear. It's a fitting tribute to one of the most complex and fascinating characters on television, and it sets the stage for what promises to be a thrilling conclusion.
