Ep 1. Learn to Endure, or Hire a Bodyguard

Set in 19th-century San Francisco, the action-packed martial arts drama series Warrior is back with its second season and kicks off the premiere episode with an intriguing title - Learn to Endure, or Hire a Bodyguard. As the title suggests, the episode revolves around the characters' struggles to navigate through tough adversities, whether that's through self-preservation or by seeking external help.

In an attempt to regain his authority, Chao hires a mysterious bodyguard, Hong, to help protect him and his interests. Hong's arrival brings with it powerful fighting skills and enigmatic origins, and it's unclear whether his motives are purely about securing a paycheck.

Elsewhere, Sister Agnes, the Irish nun who runs a struggling boarding house for the Chinese workers in San Francisco, is faced with a new set of challenges. She has to deal with the growing resentment towards the Chinese workers from the other white residents in the city, who blame them for taking away their jobs. In an attempt to bridge the gap and help those in need, Sister Agnes decides to offer her medical services to the struggling Chinese community. Her decision puts her on the radar of the local authorities, who aren't too pleased with her actions.

As the episode progresses, tensions start to mount between the different factions, and each one is forced to confront their own limitations and weaknesses. Through it all, the characters are forced to make difficult choices and decide whether they will persevere and endure on their own or seek help from the outside.

Warrior season 2 episode 1 Learn to Endure, or Hire a Bodyguard offers an excellent start to what promises to be another exciting season.
