In the fourth episode of Warrior season 2, titled "If You Don't See Blood, You Didn't Come to Play," tensions continue to rise between the Hop Wei and Long Zii factions as they prepare for an all-out gang war.
Bill O'Hara, the corrupt police officer who has been working with Long Zii, is tasked with bringing in Mai Ling, who has gone into hiding since the events of the previous episode. O'Hara manages to track her down and brings her in for questioning, but Mai Ling remains elusive and refuses to answer his questions. Meanwhile, Ah Sahm and Young Jun are tasked with protecting a shipment of opium that the Hop Wei plan to sell to the Irish mob, but things quickly go awry when a rival gang attempts to steal the opium.
As tensions between the two factions continue to escalate, both sides begin to make preparations for the upcoming war. Mai Ling makes a deal with the Irish mob to help them take down the Hop Wei, while Ah Toy and her brothel girls arm themselves for battle. Ah Sahm, still reeling from the loss of his sister, struggles to come to terms with his grief and the impending violence.
Despite their differences and the looming threat of war, there are moments of unexpected solidarity between characters on both sides. A particularly powerful scene sees Ah Toy and Young Jun share a tender moment of understanding and acceptance, despite being from opposing factions.
With the stage set for an explosive showdown, "If You Don't See Blood, You Didn't Come to Play" sets the stakes high for the remainder of the season. As alliances are tested and loyalties are questioned, it remains to be seen which side will come out victorious in this brutal and bloody war.
