Following his controversial win over Adam Cole at NXT TakeOver: XXV, Johnny Gargano is set to defend his NXT Championship against his former tag team partner Tommaso Ciampa. The rivalry between these two former friends turned bitter enemies has been years in the making, with Ciampa having to relinquish his own NXT Championship due to injury shortly before their scheduled match at last year’s WrestleMania weekend.

Also on Wed, Jun 26, 2019, Xia Li will look to continue her hot streak as she goes one on one with Taynara Conti. LeRae delivered a brutal assault on Shirai after their loss to Shirai and her partner Kairi Sane, leaving the Japanese superstar battered and bruised. NXT General Manager William Regal has promised to provide an update on Shirai’s condition, as well as potential repercussions for LeRae’s actions.
