Ep 3. No Good Horses

In the third episode of Yellowstone's first season, entitled "No Good Horses," John Dutton's ranch hands continue their search for the unknown assailants who attacked and killed some of Dutton's cattle. Meanwhile, Dutton and his daughter Beth attend a meeting with the governor, where they discuss the possibility of rezoning their land to allow for residential development.

Later, Dutton meets with his son Kayce, who is struggling to find his place in the world after returning home from the military. Kayce also has a tense encounter with one of Dutton's rivals from a nearby reservation, who accuses Kayce of stealing horses.

Back at the ranch, Dutton's son Jamie tries to persuade his father to sell some of their land to a developer, but Dutton refuses, citing the long history of his family's ownership of the land. Jamie also meets with the governor's aide to discuss his own aspirations for political power.

As tensions continue to mount between the Duttons and their enemies, the ranch faces a new threat: a fire that breaks out in a nearby forest, endangering both the cattle and the ranch hands. Despite Kayce's efforts to fight the fire, it quickly becomes clear that they are no match for the elements, and the ranch and its inhabitants must find a way to survive amidst the chaos.

As the episode comes to a close, the Duttons are faced with an uncertain future, and it remains to be seen whether they will be able to weather the storm and emerge victorious.
