Cassandra's Dream is a psychological thriller from 2007, directed by the legendary filmmaker Woody Allen. The story is set in contemporary London and revolves around two brothers, Terry (Colin Farrell) and Ian (Ewan McGregor), who are both struggling financially and are in desperate need of cash. Terry is a mechanic who dreams of opening his own garage, while Ian works as a waiter in a restaurant owned by his girlfriend's father. When their wealthy uncle Howard (Tom Wilkinson) comes to London, they see an opportunity to ask him for financial help. However, Uncle Howard has problems of his own, and instead of helping them out, he asks them for a favor.

Uncle Howard is in trouble with the law for fraud and needs to leave the country quickly. He asks the brothers to do him a favor and kill a businessman who is about to testify against him in court. At first, both brothers are hesitant, but the promise of a large sum of money convinces them to agree.

As the brothers try to carry out the murder, they start to have second thoughts and become consumed with guilt and paranoia. Meanwhile, their relationships with their girlfriends (played by Hayley Atwell and Sally Hawkins) also begin to deteriorate, as the pressure of the situation takes its toll on them.

The tension builds throughout the film, and we see the brothers struggle with their moral compasses and deal with the weight of their decision. Terry becomes increasingly unhinged, while Ian tries to keep a level head and keep their plan on track. At the same time, Uncle Howard becomes more and more impatient, adding to the pressure.

The performances from the main cast are excellent, especially Colin Farrell, who gives a standout performance as Terry. Ewan McGregor also does a great job as Ian, and the chemistry between the two brothers is believable and engaging.

Woody Allen's direction brings a dark and ominous tone to the film, heightening the tension and creating a sense of unease throughout. The cinematography is also noteworthy, with the film's mood accurately captured through the use of lighting and camera angles.

Overall, Cassandra's Dream is a gripping and thought-provoking film that explores the consequences of making morally questionable decisions. It's a tense thriller that keeps the audience engaged from start to finish and offers some food for thought about the lengths people will go to for money.

Cassandra's Dream is a 2007 crime movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 50 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.6 and a MetaScore of 49.
