Poltergeist is a 2015 horror film directed by Gil Kenan and produced by Sam Raimi. It's a remake of the 1982 film of the same name, and it stars Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt, and Kennedi Clements. The story revolves around the Bowen family who move to a new house in the suburbs. However, they soon discover that their house is haunted by malevolent spirits who are targeting their youngest daughter, Madison (Kennedi Clements). The family tries to deal with the situation on their own, but when things get out of hand, they seek the help of paranormal experts.

At the beginning of the movie, we get to meet the Bowen family, consisting of Eric (Sam Rockwell), Amy (Rosemarie DeWitt), their three children, and their dog. Everything seems to be going well at first, but strange things start happening in the house. Madison begins communicating with the spirits that inhabit the house, and they seem to want to take her away from her family. As things escalate, the family realizes they have to seek help from a team of paranormal investigators.

The movie does a great job of building tension and creating a scary atmosphere. The special effects used to create the ghosts and other supernatural entities are excellent, and they add to the sense of dread that permeates the movie. The movie also uses sound very effectively, with the use of whispering voices and distorted sounds creating an eerie ambiance.

Sam Rockwell delivers a great performance as Eric Bowen, the patriarch of the family who is struggling to keep his family together while dealing with the supernatural forces that are invading their home. Rosemarie DeWitt also does an excellent job as Amy Bowen, the mother who is trying to protect her children while coming to terms with the fact that her house is haunted.

Kennedi Clements steals the show as Madison, the youngest member of the family who is the main target of the poltergeists. Despite her young age, Clements gives a convincing and emotional performance, which adds to the overall impact of the movie.

One of the key themes of the movie is the idea of family and the lengths that a family will go to protect each other. The Bowen family is tested to its limits as they try to deal with the supernatural forces that threaten to tear them apart. The movie does a great job of exploring the relationships between the family members and how they are affected by the events that are unfolding around them.

Overall, Poltergeist is a great horror movie that delivers on both scares and emotional impact. The excellent performances from the cast, the great special effects, and the tense atmosphere all combine to create a movie that is well worth watching. Fans of horror movies, in particular, will appreciate the way the movie builds tension and creates a sense of dread that is hard to shake off even after the credits have rolled.

Poltergeist is a 2015 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 33 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.9 and a MetaScore of 47.
