Ep 23. Day 4: 5:00 A.M.-6:00 A.M.

Jack Bauer, the former Director of CTU, is racing against time to find and capture the mastermind behind the chain of terrorist attacks that have plagued Los Angeles for the entirety of Day 4. Once he discovers that the mastermind is none other than presidential advisor Walt Cummings, he has to contend with being brought in for questioning by Homeland Security while secretly planning to take Cummings down.

Meanwhile, Curtis Manning is brought before Audrey Raines, and they both realize that their mutual friend, Chloe, is a crucial player in stopping the terrorist threat. They reach out to Chloe, who is currently being held hostage by the terrorists. Chloe, who has been working with Jack and the CTU team from the start, is working on a way to get out of her situation and tapping into security feeds to help Jack.

In the midst of all this, President Charles Logan is struggling with the reality of the situation and the horrifying consequences of his actions. He tries to come to terms with what he has done and begin to make amends, but it may be too late.
