Ep 11. Mess of a Salesman

In Better Off Ted, season 2, episode 11, titled "Mess of a Salesman," we find ourselves in the midst of a sale pitch that does not go as planned. But, as with all things at Veridian, it turns out to be more complicated than they initially thought. After a few false starts and some mishaps, they finally come up with a plan that they think will work.

Back on the Toledo front, Ted desperately tries to help Phil, but nothing seems to work. The two of them end up in a bar, where Phil starts to open up about his life. As the night wears on, Ted starts to realize that Phil might not be such a bad guy after all. He decides to give Phil another shot and the two of them finally make their way to the Toledo meeting.

When they arrive, things seem to be going well at first. Ted and Phil are making their case, and the Mayor seems interested. But as the meeting continues, Phil's incompetence once again rears its ugly head, and the whole thing falls apart.

Despite Phil's failure, Ted manages to salvage the deal by stepping in and saving the day at the last minute. His quick thinking and ability to improvise save the day, and the Toledo deal is secured for Veridian Dynamics.

In the end, Linda and Veronica's branding campaign is a success, and Phil manages to regain Ted's respect by owning up to his mistakes and showing that he's willing to change. The episode ends with Ted and Phil walking off into the sunset, ready to tackle whatever Veridian Dynamics throws at them next.
