Ep 1. Summer, Kind of Wonderful

It is the beginning of summer in the Upper East Side and everyone is trying to enjoy their break. Serena is working in Los Angeles for the summer, trying to forget about her complicated past relationships with Dan and Nate. Blair, on the other hand, is spending her summer in the Hamptons with her new boyfriend, Marcus, and hoping to find happiness. However, things quickly become complicated when Serena decides to come back to New York early, and old tensions rise to the surface.

Meanwhile, Dan is struggling to balance his summer internship at a publishing company with his feelings for his new boss, the beautiful and mysterious Ms. Carr, who seems to be more interested in him than in his writing. Chuck, still reeling from his father's death, is spending his summer trying to numb his pain with drugs and casual sex. And Nate, caught in the middle of his friends' drama, is trying to decide what he really wants out of life.

As the summer wears on, tensions boil over and secrets are revealed. Serena and Blair find themselves at odds once again, as their complicated history threatens to break up their friendship for good.
