Ep 6. Brunch?

  • May 19, 2011

In "My Drunk Kitchen" season 1 episode 6, titled "Brunch," host Hannah Hart is ready to kick off the day with some delicious breakfast dishes (and perhaps a little bit of alcohol). As always, Hannah starts off her cooking antics by taking a shot and letting her viewers know what's on the menu for the day.

Today, Hannah is branching out from her typical mac-n-cheese and grilled cheese recipes and diving into the world of breakfast foods. She starts off with a classic dish - eggs benedict. Hannah explains that this dish can be a bit tricky to make, especially with the hollandaise sauce, but she's confident that the combination of food and alcohol will help her through. As she begins the cooking process, she takes some time to explain each ingredient she's using and what it does for the dish.

While cooking, Hannah manages to spill a little bit of her cocktail on her shirt, but she laughs it off and continues on. Once her eggs benedict are plated, she takes a bite and declares that it's "pretty damn good," despite the fact that her hollandaise sauce is a bit on the runny side.

Next up on the brunch menu is something a bit more unique - a beer pancake breakfast sandwich. Hannah explains that the combination of carbs, sugar, protein, and alcohol will make this dish the "perfect hangover cure." As she begins cooking, she notes that the batter looks a bit thinner than she expected.

Once the pancakes are cooked, Hannah assembles the sandwich - a pancake with bacon, egg, and cheese in between two other pancakes. She takes a bite and declares that it's "so good," even though the pancake is a bit on the thin side. She also takes a moment to shout out her friend who recommended the recipe in the first place.

As Hannah continues through the episode, she begins to feel the effects of the alcohol more and more. She starts slurring her words and hopping around the kitchen. Despite this, she manages to whip up some delicious-looking breakfast nachos and a Bloody Mary with a twist.

Throughout the episode, Hannah also takes some time to talk about her personal life, including her experiences with dating and relationships. She also speaks about her goal to become a comedian and how her YouTube channel has allowed her to pursue her dreams.

As the episode comes to a close, Hannah brings all of her dishes together to enjoy the ultimate brunch feast. She takes a bite of each dish and proclaims that they're "all so good," despite the fact that the alcohol has clearly caught up with her.

Overall, "My Drunk Kitchen" season 1 episode 6 is a fun-filled episode that combines breakfast foods and alcohol in a unique and entertaining way. Hannah's personality shines through as she cooks and chats with the audience, making for a lighthearted and enjoyable viewing experience.
