Summer Heights High is an Australian mockumentary series that takes a humorous look at the life of high school students, their teachers and staff, and their families. The show is created, written, and starred by Chris Lilley who plays multiple characters in the series. In episode two of the first season, we see Lilley's characters in their respective environments, dealing with personal and professional issues.

The episode starts with Mr. G, the drama teacher at Summer Heights High School, struggling to write a musical about a girl who transforms into a boy. He is caught between pleasing his students and being creative. Meanwhile, Jonah, a troubled student, is reprimanded by the principal for his disruptive behavior. But Jonah refuses to admit wrongdoing and says that he was provoked. In detention, Jonah is still angry and has an argument with Miss Wheatley, the teacher responsible for the students' discipline.

We also get glimpses into the life of Ja'mie, the popular and snobbish girl from a private school, who is doing her community service at Summer Heights High. Ja'mie is not happy with the tasks she is given and feels she is above everyone there. She looks down upon everyone around her and struggles to make any friends. Ja'mie is annoyed when her fake tan fades off her legs.

Throughout the episode, we see Mr. G's creative process through various musical numbers. He is determined to write a great musical but struggles to come up with a concept that everyone will enjoy. In one scene, we see him discussing the script with his assistant, Becky, but she disagrees with some of his ideas. Mr. G feels that she is not being supportive and tells her that he can write better than her.

Meanwhile, as Jonah continues to face disciplinary action, his anger and frustration grow. He tries to show off his toughness to his friends by doing push-ups and saying that he is not afraid of anyone. But soon, we see him trying to steal a computer from the school and getting caught by the principal. He is suspended, and his grandmother is called to school.

Ja'mie remains aloof from everyone as she continues with her community service. She is unhappy with the tasks and tells her school friends that it is boring. She also tries to make herself look better than the other volunteers, taking selfies and pictures of the environment. When she is asked to help with cooking at the community center, Ja'mie refuses and says that she is not skilled enough for that.

As the episode progresses, we witness more of Mr. G's attempts at writing the musical. He finally comes up with a storyline that he thinks everyone will love, but it ends up being too controversial. His students are appalled by the idea, and Mr. G feels that he has let them down. Later, we see Ja'mie's attempts at attracting the attention of the boys in the school, but she fails miserably. She realizes that she is not as popular as she thought she was and becomes even more depressed.

Overall, episode two of Summer Heights High is a great continuation of the first episode. It delves deeper into the personal and professional lives of the characters and showcases their struggles and personal issues. Mr. G, Jonah, and Ja'mie are all complex characters with unique personalities, and the episode does justice to all of them. With its unique style of humor and relatable content, Summer Heights High is a must-watch for anyone who loves mockumentary shows.
