Ep 2. Dead Soldiers

Detective Vic Mackey and his Strike Team face a new task as they try to locate a veteran police officer named Terry Crowley who has gone undercover with the Byz Lats, a drug gang that has been controlling the city's drug trade. Living a double life, Terry has been able to get close to the Byz Lats' leader, Armadillo Quintero, and is set to capture the evidence that will put them all behind bars. However, things take an unexpected turn when Armadillo discovers Terry's true identity and tortures him brutally.

As Vic and his team race against time to rescue Terry, they discover that Armadillo has been keeping a dark secret that could bring all of them down. Meanwhile, tensions begin to rise between Assistant Chief Ben Gilroy and Captain David Aceveda as they both try to take credit for a recent drug bust. Things become even more heated when Gilroy demands Aceveda's resignation after discovering that he made a deal with the DEA about the bust.

As the Strike Team continues to deal with the aftermath of Terry's kidnapping, they find themselves facing new challenges from within the department. Detective Dutch Wagenbach clashes with Detective Kay Howard as they investigate a series of murders that have been plaguing the city. Dutch believes that all the murders are connected, but Kay thinks they are random acts of violence.

Elsewhere, Detective Claudette Wyms faces a personal crisis when she discovers that she has breast cancer. Determined to fight the disease and keep working, Claudette receives support from her fellow officers but finds herself struggling to maintain her composure in the face of treatment.

With tensions rising both in and out of the department, the detectives of Farmington must work together to maintain order in the face of violence and corruption. As they navigate the dangerous streets of their city, they must also confront their own demons and face their own fears, all while trying to maintain some semblance of justice in a system that seems intent on tearing itself apart. As the season progresses, it becomes clear that there are no easy answers in the world of The Shield, only hard choices and difficult compromises.
