13 RUE MADELEINE is a thrilling spy film directed by Henry Hathaway and released in 1946. The movie is set during World War II and follows the story of Bob Sharkey (James Cagney), a tough and resourceful American intelligence officer tasked with leading a group of spies behind enemy lines in Nazi-occupied France. Sharkey and his team soon discover that "Tulio" is onto them and is planning to ambush them at their next meeting with Suzanne. Sharkey must use all of his wit and cunning to avoid capture and find the secret rocket factory before it's too late.

The film is full of tense and exciting moments as we follow Sharkey and his team as they carry out their dangerous mission. There are car chases, shootouts, and daring escapes, all executed with precision and style.

James Cagney is outstanding as Bob Sharkey, delivering a tough and charismatic performance as the leader of the group. He brings a real sense of urgency and danger to the role, conveying the immense pressure that Sharkey is under to complete his mission.

Annabella is also excellent as Suzanne, bringing a sense of vulnerability and strength to the role of the French resistance fighter. Richard Conte is convincing as the calculating and ruthless "Tulio," and he serves as a formidable villain for Sharkey to overcome.
