A Fistful of Dollars
- 1 hr 40 min
A Fistful of Dollars begins as a stranger arrives in town, quickly gaining attention after outdrawing and fatally shooting four men. Silvanito, an innkeeper, sees him and explains about a town feud between the Rojo brothers and Sheriff Baxter's family which the Stranger plays each side against the other. The Stranger's opportunity arrives as a shipment of gold passes through so Mexico can buy American weapons. However, Ramon Rojo ambushes the troops and grabs the gold. The Stranger plants two bodies at a cemetery as false evidence, selling information to each side. Both sides pay, racing to the cemetery only to wind up in a gunfight. With the Rojos distracted, the Stranger ransacks their place for gold only to find Marisol, Ramon's captured woman. The Stranger gives her to the Baxters who will exchange her for Antonio Rojo. After the exchange, Ramon orders Marisol's husband to be killed, but Silvanito and the Stranger stop it. The Stranger heads to the Rojo hacienda by night to free Marisol, leaving evidence to blame the Baxters. The Stranger tells Marisol's family to leave, even handing them some money. Learning of Marisol's release, the Rojos capture and pummel the Stranger. However, the Stranger escapes, killing one of the Rojos. The Rojos retaliate by burning down the Baxter home and gunning down anyone escaping the blaze. With the Rojos as the only gang in San Miguel, they interrogate Silvanito, believing him to be harboring the Stranger. The Stranger returns and faces the Rojos down, taunting Ramon to shoot him in the heart. Ramon does so only to see his rifle round deflect away from a steel plate underneath his poncho. The Stranger slaughters all but Ramon, whom he dares to reload and shoot his rifle quicker than the Stranger can with his pistol with the result being a shot Ramon. Esteban Rojo is shot dead by Silvanito before he can snipe at the Stranger. The Stranger then parts ways and rides off.
