After being used by his employer as a scapegoat for an embezzlement scheme at his workplace Tommaso Scalia goes on a killing spree at his former employer’s office. After the brutal attack, Scalia then murders his wife while fleeing the initial crime scene. When Scalia is being tried for his crimes, he admits to wanting to be killed by firing squad once convicted. Scalia is denied his wishes when the judge on the case, Judge Vito Di Francesco, who is against the death penalty, fights for the man’s life to be spared. Succeeding in saving Scalia’s life, Francesco then becomes a target.
