The officers inadvertently get involved in a shootout between gangs, when Batman swoops in to end the conflict and save the cops. Batman takes it onto a case where he's attempting to force a truce between Russian and Italian gangs. A bullet accidentally deflects from Batman and into a gang member, and he declines to use the device further. In Darkness Dwells: In this film, a priest is kidnapped by Killer Croc, who has been affected by the Scarecrow's fear toxin. Though bitten by Croc, and suffering from the effects of the toxin, Batman manages to save the priest and put an end to Scarecrow's reign in the Narrows. Working Through Pain: This short details Batman's endeavors to learn how to control pain, switching between him injured in the present and being taught in India in the past.
