Beauty and the Beast

A young prince is transformed into a hideous beast when he denies giving shelter to a disguised enchantress. The enchantress has gifted him with a rose and a mirror, the prince can view faraway events in the mirror and the rose will remain fresh till his 21st birthday. Within that time he has to fall in love and his love should be requited or else he will remain a beast forever. Maurice, an inventor lives in a French village along with his beautiful daughter Belle. Belle’s beauty attracts the local rowdy Gatson who always aspires to marry her. But, Belle’s dream is beyond imagination, she does not like to lead the simple life of a homemaker, she wishes to travel beyond the village periphery in order to explore life. One day Maurice loses his way into the woods and is captured by the beast. Belle follows the footsteps of her father and desperately tries to save him by staying back at the castle. One night when Belle tries to escape she is chased by wolves and is saved by the beast. This incidence brings them closer and they become good friends. Belle remains pleased with the beast and her repulsion towards him is cut short. In the meantime Belle views the future death of her father in the mirror and sets out to help him. Along her way she is hindered and teased by Gatson and the mob. Finally, the outrageous Gatson reaches the castle to murder the beast. He is in turn greeted by the reluctant and mammoth beast who defeats him badly. In the meantime Belle manages to retrieve the rose which only has one petal left; she then announces her love for the beast. This amazing moment transforms the beast to his real form of a prince. Both Belle and the prince dance happily together and are united for a lifetime. Maurice gets his life back and remains happy for his daughter.
