Before Sunrise is a romantic drama film starring Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke. The plot centers on an American man named Jesse and a French woman named Céline and the evolution of their relationship after meeting on a train in route to Vienna. After arriving in the city of Vienna, Jesse and Céline decide to spend the rest of the day together. The pair go sightseeing and end up taking a ferris-wheel ride, where they kiss at the top just as the sun goes down. From that moment on, the two begin developing romantic feelings for each other. Jesse and Céline resume their travels through the city and soon find themselves being more honest with each other about their feelings about life, love and many other ideas. The more time they spend with each other, the stronger their attraction becomes. Eventually the two come to admit their feelings for each other but realize that because of circumstances beyond their control, they will likely never see each other again after tonight. Instead of dwelling on that fact, however, the two decide to enjoy their remaining hours in Vienna. After their night together, Jesse reveals to Céline that if he could choose between never seeing her again or marrying her, he would marry her. The next day, Jesse and Céline travel to the train station, where, at the last moment, they promise to meet again in six months.
