Brian's Song

Brian's Song remake of the 1971 film, a true story about the NFL football players Brian Piccolo and Gale Sayers. The film is directed by John Gray starring Sean Maher and Mekhi Phifer. It is a true story of the extremely close friendship between the two players. The film begins at the height of both of their careers in the NFL, both of them playing for the Chicago Bears and both running backs. The two of them were always in competition with each other. Gale always seemed to manage to be in the spotlight, leaving Brian even more competitive.

During the second season, Gale has an injury that could very well ruin his career and starts losing hope of ever playing again. Brian decides to push him and train him back to playing again with the idea that if Gale quits, and Brian does well, it's only because he quit, not because he earned it.

Not long after they are back playing again, Brian becomes sick. The friendship only becomes closer and the tables are turned and Gale is by Brian's side.
