Buddy's Song is a 1991 sci-fi film. It features Billy Crystal as Ben Thompkins, head scientist at NHS labs. The film begins with Thompkins delivering a presentation to the board of directors of the hospital he is employed at, on the subject of ape-to-man hybridization. Thompkins states that he will attempt to place some of the human organs he has acquired in Buddy, an ape who was raised by Thompkins in the lab. The film takes a dramatic turn when it is revealed that Thompkins is placing the organs of his comatose son in Buddy. The film is rated PG-13.
