Cairo Time follows the journey of Juliette Grant, the wife of a U.N. worker who is currently setting up a Refugee Camp in Gaza. Juliette has traveled to Cairo with the hope that she will get to spend some much needed time with her husband Mark. Upon her arrival she is greeted by Tareq Khalifa, a former aide to Juliette's husband, at the airport. He informs her that her husband has been delayed due to unrest in the region but will meet her in Cairo soon. Juliette has trouble acclimating to her new surroundings as she awaits her husband's arrival. Alienated in unfamiliar territory Juliette seeks out Tareq. With his help she begins to warm up to Cairo, slowly beginning to fall in love with the fabric of a modern city set against ancient beauty. She loses herself in this new place as her longing for her husband's company slowly falls away. Alongside Tareq, Juliette melts away. Her old self replaced with a new women. As Juliette and Tareq wonder through Cairo, their relationship blossoms with affection. Her old persona gives way to the new Juliette as Cairo begins to feel less and less foreign.
