Con artists Roger Kingsley and Mary Webb pull a series of cons on unsuspecting members of the public and even manage to outwit an LAPD detective as they steal merchandise from an LA store. Roger gets even more confident and plans a further con where Mary poses as a psychic and her partner feeds her information about those she is giving readings to. As Mary becomes more uncomfortable taking the savings of regular people Roger must work harder to keep her happy and involved in the scam as they also try to avoid detection.
