Day of Wrath is an adventurous thriller that follows a 16th-century sheriff who rules over a city, where he is faced with solving a disturbing multitude of murders. Ruy de Mendoza is called upon as the brave-hearted lawman who must find the culprits who are carving mysterious letters into the chests of the victims. As the quest begins, Mendoza soon discovers that he may have to jump through a lot of obstacles to finally get his hands on the killers, which he boldly begins to takes on, even if it means his life. Some of the town refuses to assist Mendoza due to the fear of getting involved. The story leads the audience through Mendoza's surprising confrontation with the discovery of high-class men who were slain along with their mistresses. Mendoza moves through the blood-stained streets as he asks questions to the survived wives of the deceased. As events become more intense for Mendoza, he finds that the reason for the murders has unimaginable ties to someone he is very close to, which motivates him even further to find the culprits before they lash out once again. As the secrets begin to unravel in a less-than-desirable manner for Mendoza, the anticipation rises until he meets his fate. The film stars Christopher Lambert as Ruy de Mendoza. The story was written and directed by Adrian Rudomin. The events will take the audience through the reality of 16th century Spain, where Catholicism believed that they should execute citizens that were involved with serious offenses that were seen as unorthodox.
