Die Another Day is a 2002 action-packed spy thriller film directed by Lee Tamahori and written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. It is the twentieth installment in the James Bond franchise and stars Pierce Brosnan as 007, alongside Halle Berry, Toby Stephens, Rosamund Pike, Rick Yune, and Judi Dench. The agent in question, Zao, is also in possession of diamonds that Bond believes ties him to a shadowy international diamond smuggler.

Bond travels to Cuba, where he meets the smuggler's mistress, Jinx (Halle Berry). With Jinx, Bond discovers a connection between his captors and the weapon he is investigating. Together, they uncover a plot involving a British billionaire industrialist, Gustav Graves (Toby Stephens), who has developed a satellite that is capable of reflecting and intensifying sunlight. Bond soon learns that Graves intends to use the weapon to ignite the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea, creating a conflict that would cause instability throughout the region.

In the midst of his investigation, Bond also encounters Miranda Frost (Rosamund Pike), who works for MI6 and is the personal assistant to Graves. Despite an initial attraction to Frost, Bond becomes suspicious of her loyalty and motives.

The film features breathtaking action sequences, including a hovercraft chase through a minefield in North Korea, an impressive swordfight on a rapidly-melting ice palace, and a dramatic finale atop a dam with a crashing helicopter. Along the way, Bond also engages in a series of memorable car chases and battles, all while keeping his classic cool demeanor and trademark tongue-in-cheek humor.

The performances in the film are all top-notch. Pierce Brosnan delivers a nuanced performance as Bond, seamlessly blending his rugged masculinity with witty one-liners.
