Forever Mine is a 1999 British - Canadian film about drama and romance with a tragic twist of a young man who has a bad accident in his quest for love. Alan Riply is a young cabana boy who works at an opulent, Miami beach hotel for money since he is starting out his life. Alan falls unexpectedly in love with a beautiful, young woman named Ella Brice who is on a holiday vacation with her husband, the business mogul Mark Brice. Despite Alan being nervous about their intentions, Ella returns Alan's love and the two begin an affair, but things turn sour very quickly when Mark finds out his wife's cheating. Mark has Alan shot in the face and then buried alive as his revenge for their affair. Although Mark thinks he has eliminated the cabana boy, Alan miraculously survives. However, mentally and physically he will be scarred and bruised for the rest of his life. Being a person with strong beliefs, Alan has hope and works his way up on the job ladder to land the position of an eminent criminal attorney with many illegal connections, under a different name since he cannot use his own anymore. Now fourteen years have passed and the business mogul, Mark, runs into legal trouble and has to bargain with the Justice Department. He calls for Alan, now Manuel Esquema, to fly to New York and help him plea his bargain. Mark chooses Manuel because of his grand reputation and Manuel accepts his offer even though Mark has a big price to pay for his services. Since a lot of time has gone by, Mark does not realize that Manuel is Alan, the man he had previously tried to dispatch. Mark has to pay a high price because Manuel still yearns for his wife's affection and may have his own plans of revenge and mercy to reconnect with Ella Brice.
