God's Little Acre

This family drama was controversial at the time of its release as it tells the story of Ty Ty Walden and his family against the backdrop of a strike and revolutionary uprising at the town's mill. Ty Ty himself spends his days hunting for a legendary stash of gold left to him by his grandfather, ignoring the farm he also inherited that could have already made him rich and powerful. Distracted by the promised hidden gold, Ty Ty fails to see the problems he faces keeping his daughters safe and secure from the locals of their Deep South home.
